DCR Pro equipment
We use an in-house machine to recreate the finely cut wheel face.
Suitability assessed
We check corrosion, damage and previous cuts before machining begins.

We explain cleaning and care for the newly machined wheel surface.
Recognise the fine lines of a diamond-cut face
A diamond-cut wheel normally has a bright machined face with fine circular lines, often set against darker painted sections. This finish differs from a conventional painted or powder-coated alloy because the metal face is cut with precision. Before diamond cut wheel repair begins, we assess kerb damage, corrosion, previous refinishing and whether the wheel remains suitable for another cut. Recutting removes a small amount from the face, so assessment matters. Not every marked wheel can or should be machined again.

Precision recutting completed inside our workshop
We complete the process in-house using our DCR Pro machine. After suitable preparation, the equipment recuts the wheel face to recreate its characteristic machined appearance. The painted sections and protective finish also need attention so the completed wheel looks consistent and has a barrier against the road. Because the bright face can be more vulnerable than a standard painted finish, we explain sensible cleaning and aftercare. Keeping the work in our East Kilbride workshop lets us manage assessment, machining and finishing through one route.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell if my wheels are diamond-cut?
Look for a bright metal face with very fine circular machining lines and contrasting painted sections. Photographs can help us identify the likely finish, but we confirm the wheel type when assessing it.
Can every diamond-cut wheel be refurbished?
No. We must consider corrosion, kerb damage, previous machining and how much material can safely be removed. If another precision cut is unsuitable, we explain the alternative finishing options available.
How should I clean a refurbished wheel?
Use sensible, gentle wheel care and avoid harsh treatment that could damage the protective finish. We provide aftercare advice when the work is completed because preserving that coating helps protect the machined face.
