Keep control of your insurance repair
Your repairer choice
You can ask your insurer for us instead of using its suggested body shop.
Clear claim information
We identify the vehicle, incident and insurer details needed for progress.
Careful parts selection
We consider fit, approval and finish when discussing replacement parts.
Know what happens during an insurance repair
Insurance work starts with a clear record of your vehicle, the incident and the damaged areas. We normally need your registration, make and model, insurer details and claim reference, along with photographs where available. We then assess the damage and prepare the repair route for authorisation. You can choose your repairer rather than automatically accepting the body shop suggested by your insurer. Once authority is confirmed, we move through bodywork, replacement parts, paint preparation, refinishing and completion checks.

Fit and finish matter after an accident
We prefer genuine parts where they are available and appropriate because accurate fit can affect panel gaps, alignment and the finished appearance. The final part choice can also depend on insurer approval and the repair plan, so we explain the position before fitting begins. Insurance accident repairs follow an authorised claim route, while private cosmetic work is agreed and paid for directly. Our East Kilbride workshop handles both, but keeping the routes clear prevents hold-ups and confusion over who approves the work.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose my own body shop?
Yes. You can tell your insurer that you want your vehicle repaired by your chosen repairer. The insurer may need an estimate, damage evidence and authorisation steps completed before we can begin the insurance-funded work.
What information do you need from me?
We usually need the vehicle registration, make and model, a description of the accident, damaged areas, insurer details and the claim reference. Photographs and confirmation of whether the vehicle can be driven are also useful.
Do you always fit genuine parts?
We prefer genuine parts where suitable and available, but the approved repair plan and insurer position can affect the final choice. We discuss parts before fitting so you understand what has been authorised for your vehicle.
